Upon moving to Baltimore, she worked at Kennedy Krieger Institute’s non-public schools and outpatient clinics as the speech-language pathologist leading the kindergarten through second grade cohort. Jordyn worked primarily with children on the Autism Spectrum and children with complex medical diagnoses. Later, Jordyn channeled her passion for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and became the Assistive Technology Specialist for Kennedy’s four non-public school campuses. Jordyn has received awards for her commitment to collaboration and continued education, including the Boston University Graduate Leadership Award, given in recognition of exemplary collegiality and academic achievements, as well as the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Award for Continuing Education (ACE). She is certified in the Hanen It Takes Two to Talk® program, designed to help parents become their child’s most important language teacher, and the Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing® (LiPS) Program for Reading, Spelling, and Speech.

Prior to her time as a speech-language pathologist, Jordyn worked as a middle school English teacher outside of Washington, DC with Teach For America. She is also a clinical advisor and consultant for Constant Therapy Health, makers of the app Constant Therapy, which provides digital speech, language, and cognitive therapy for adults with acquired disorders such as Aphasia or traumatic brain injuries (TBI), and progressive disorders such as dementia or Parkinson’s Disease.

Jordyn lives with her husband and son in the Berkshires, and in their spare time they love to hike, kayak, swim, and enjoy the great outdoors. She can think of no better way to contribute and give back to our community than by providing accessible speech, language, cognitive, reading, and assistive technology services.
